This site is built to conform to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 at Level AA, the technical standard the U.S. Department of Justice has set for state and local government web content under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

What that means in practice

  • Every text and interface colour is verified against the WCAG contrast thresholds as part of the build, against each background it can appear on.
  • Headings follow a strict order with no skipped levels, so the page outline is usable with a screen reader.
  • Every link states its purpose in its own text. A link to a document names the document, its format and its size rather than only a year.
  • Status is never conveyed by colour alone — every status carries a written label.
  • The whole site is operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator and a skip-to-content link.
  • Tables carry captions and proper row and column headers. Wide tables scroll within their own container so the page never scrolls sideways.
  • Motion is minimal and honours the reduced-motion preference.

Documents

Many of the records published here are PDFs adopted by the board or issued by the corporation's auditor. Where a PDF is not fully accessible, the corporation will provide the information in another format on request at no charge.
